Dart 18 tiller arm end bracket
This is the connector between the rudder blade and the aft end of the tiller. Due to constant movement, play can develop over time in the three rivets, causing the drill holes to loosen and become too large for the rivets. To prevent this, it is advisable to check the rudders for play at the rivets before the start of the season. If there is play, drill out and replace the rivets one by one.

Use the extra-hard Monel rivets 4.8x16mm for this.

The rudder blade is attached to this end piece with a stainless steel M6 bolt, nut, and two plastic rings. If there is play at this point, it is usually sufficient to tighten the bolt and nut; if necessary, you can replace the stainless steel locking nut with a new one.
