Mast Upgrade for Older Masts
Prevents from leakage and wear of the mast due to the bolt in the mast bracket

With older masts, the mast bracket is fastened with a bolt that is inserted through the mast. Over the years, due to the up-and-down movement of the bracket, this bolt may wear out, causing the hole to enlarge, and the mast bracket to come loose. This can lead to mast leakage, and if the boat capsizes, the mast can fill with water. These mounting plates prevent this wear or loosening. They are attached to the mast with pop rivets, and the tension bar is secured with M8 self-locking nuts. Attached with extra-hardened Monel pop rivets (4.8x16mm). Use Sikaflex to seal the holes of the pop rivets. Price per piece, excluding Sikaflex, Monel pop rivets, and self-locking nuts (see accessories)."
