The DSK AURA Optimist rudder was created in the DSK FOILS factory with cnc machines and designed in a 3D model.
The main characteristics of the DSK Aura Optimist rudder are:
The Optimist rudder has really thin edges that gives the DSK Aura rudder it’s unique shape
The front edge of the rudder has been bevelled just below the rudder gudgeon
The back bevel is 6 cm higher than other rudders
The cross section of the back edge bevel of the Aura rudder has a hydrodynamic curve instead of a ramp
The leading edge of the DSK Optimist rudder is really smooth
Last but not least the hydrodynamic shape of the rudder blade is 90° to sea level
